Karl's story as an artist began long before Starline Customs existed.

Growing up, he was the child who was always drawing. Family members often joke that he could hold a pen correctly before he could even talk. School books, scrap paper, tables, walls and pretty much any surface he could get away with became his canvas. Creating wasn't a hobby, it was simply part of who he was.

As life moved into his late teens and early twenties, art gradually took a back seat. Like many people, responsibilities, work and everyday life began to take priority. The sketchbooks were put away, and the creative spark that had shaped so much of his childhood sat quietly in the background.

Everything changed when he met his partner, Katie, at the age of 23.

Katie saw what others had always seen, an exceptional natural talent that deserved more than to remain a hobby. She encouraged Karl to pick up his pens and paints again, to believe in his abilities and to pursue the thing that had always come most naturally to him.

What started as a few custom projects quickly became an obsession with craftsmanship, detail and creating pieces unlike anything else on the market.

Countless hours were spent practicing, experimenting, refining techniques and pushing the limits of what could be achieved on leather.

Every commission became an opportunity to improve. Every challenge became a lesson.

Through years of hard work, determination and an unwavering commitment to quality, Starline Customs was born. 

Now in a full cycle his 4 year old loves painting and drawing whilst watching Karl continue to create incredible pieces.
